‘The new opportunities are much larger than the old’
Ross Garnaut, renowned economist, and author of THE SUPERPOWER TRANSFORMATION Making Australia’s zero-carbon future.
The briefing will highlight the scale and immediacy of the opportunities for the Regions in the transformation of Australia’s energy sector and growth of new domestic and export industries. This briefing has been timed to coincide with The Bush Summit which this year kicks off in Tamworth on Friday 11 August.
Tamworth sits at the cross roads of the opportunities – with the New England Renewable Energy Zone to the North, the Central West Orana and Hunter-Central Coast zones to the South and the vast untapped opportunities to the West.
New England was chosen as a renewable energy zone because it has some of the best natural energy resources in the country and some of NSW’s finest potential sites for pumped-hydro development.
The guest speakers at the briefing will highlight the immediate and enduring opportunities and challenges from this transformation and the growth of new industries with a focus on how Tamworth and the broader New England region can participate in the delivery of local supply chains and the capacity building required to capture these opportunities.
If you are interested in helping your region capture these opportunities, please join us as our guest for breakfast.
This briefing is proudly supported by Efficacy Advisory and Energy Estate, two Australian companies with a shared passion of delivering enduring outcomes to regional communities hosting clean energy developments.
