Pound Paws and BUPA Aged Care have joined forces to bring together rescue pets and elderly individuals residing in nursing homes across Australia.
This unique collaboration seeks to alleviate loneliness among the elderly by facilitating the adoption of pets from shelters and creating loving companionships in nursing home settings.

We’ve witnessed first hand at our Dog Day events the wonderful connection which is formed between humans and dogs. We would love to extend this heartfelt joy to nursing homes around Australia, to provide physical and mental health benefits to the elderly, as well as aid isolation and loneliness.
We’ll be collaborating with a series of rescue groups on the day, who will be bringing along dogs available for adoption and foster care.
This family friendly event is open to the public, all ages and is complimentary to attend.
