We’ve rounded up some fantastic options that showcase how you can affordably get a taste of the incredible vibe of Tamworth.
Hands of Fame Induction
Each year, inductees are made into the Hands of Fame Park. There is a special imprinting ceremony held during Festival each year, where you can watch the inductees imprint their hands and sign their name into the freshly poured concrete at the Park.
The ceremony is held on the second Saturday morning of the festival, at the Hands of Fame Park.
Busking
One of the festival’s most cherished traditions is busking. Be sure to catch a glimpse of these talented musicians performing on street corners and in parks. Don’t forget to tip your favorite buskers to show your support!
Toyota Fanzone
Toyota FanZone is the ultimate destination for festival-goers. Located in the heart of the CBD, you can enjoy free live music, artist signings, and meet and greets. It’s a great place to hang out, enjoy music, and possibly even meet your favorite country artists.
Galaxy of Stars
Each year stars are recognised with star shaped plaques set into the forecourt of the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre to celebrate their place in country music. You can watch the ceremony unfold in person during the Festival each year.
Whilst here, be sure to check out the Roll of Reknown – this recognises the pioneers in Australian Country Music with icons being immortalised on giant granite boulders.
Country Music Parade
This classic festival-goer favourite is making a comeback in 2024 and it is a definite must-do for those wanting to soak up the atmosphere of the Toyota Country Music Festival without breaking the bank! Join the crowds as they gather along the edges of Peel Street and celebrate the heart and soul of Australian country music as your favourite country music stars parade through the heart of the Festival.
