Emerging artist Phoebe Hillard presents her debut exhibition ‘Detritus’, a series of breathtaking pastel drawings, in the Stockroom Gallery
Says the artist: “The works in this exhibition are created from photographs. Each artwork is soft pastel, a medium I love for its tactile nature. The level of detail in the works is an acknowledgement to the journey of the singular amongst the many in its contribution to the whole. In nature there is an indifference to this journey that invokes in me a sense of calm about my place in the world.”
