Len Waters’ Cultural Tour will provide an insight into the vast wealth of information developed by Kamilaroi/Gamilaroi people and will leave you with a new understanding and admiration of the richness of Aboriginal culture in the local area.
Commencing with an introduction at the Tamworth Regional Botanic Gardens, participants will be taken to Moonbi to discover culturally significant Kamilaroi/Gamilaroi sites hidden in the Moonbi Ranges, including stunning Wave Rock and traditional artwork and symbols on Boundary Rock, which make this region unique.
Sharing stories and information covering everything from traditional cultural practices, navigation, astronomy and language, see traditional Kamilaroi/Gamilaroi culture firsthand as Lee emphasises the importance of remembering the past for the sake of the future.
