A JOINT CONCERT OF THE TAMWORTH CLARINET CHOIR AND THE TRCM CONCERT BAND
In this concert, No Strings Attached, audiences will be taken on a delightful musical journey by the Tamworth Clarinet Choir, ranging from Mozart, Vivaldi, Grieg and Joplin to a variety of popular Jazz classics.
The TRCM Concert Band will then tantalize audiences’ inner musicians with classics from ABBA, Andrew Lloyd Webber, George Gershwin, Tijuana Brass and more.
The Tamworth Clarinet Choir consists of dedicated players aged from 13 to over 90! This well-known and respected group, performing under the leadership of musical director Val Godden, has been entertaining audiences since 1984 when local renowned Tamworth clarinetist Bill Forrest
founded the Choir.
The TRCM Concert Band is an adult ensemble for brass, woodwind and percussion players, conducted by Ian Hocquard. The Band rehearse on Tuesday evenings in the Tamworth Town Hall and new members are always welcome.
