136th Anniversary – Tamworth Powerstation Museum

On Saturday the 9th of November the Tamworth Powerstation Museum will be celebrating its 136th Birthday!

We are celebrating the 136th anniversary of Tamworth as the First City to have municipally funded electric street lighting by having a party.

Come down to the Museum between 10am till 1pm where we will have:

  • Our stationary John Fowler Steam engines in action
  • Free face painting
  • Free entertainment
  • Free entry to the Museum
  • Free guided tours
  • Sausage sizzle fundraiser by the Rotary Club of Tamworth First Light
  • And much more
