The Independent Miniature Horse Registry (IMHR) is again proud to host the prestigious Miniature Horse Grand National at the Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre (AELEC) from the 17th to the 21st of April. This year marks our 20th Anniversary and with special guests – Australian Small Equine Association and the National Miniature Register it is shaping up to be the Miniature Horse event of the decade!
Entry for spectators is free, and all are welcome to head to AELEC to see these talented little equines strut their stuff in Youth events, halter classes, in-hand show jumping, trail, harness and so much more!
Our International senior judge joining us this year is from New York, USA, and he, along with two Australian judges will assess our miniatures who have travelled from all over Australia including as far as Western Australia, to Tamworth to promote their breeding programs and spend time with their friends in the Miniature Horse community.

Stable and Camping bookings can be made through Nominate. Stable and Camping bookings open at 7pm AEDT on 6th March 2025 and close at 8am on 11th April 2025.

Stables – $78 for the first 2 nights and $34 per night thereafter
Compulsory Stable Bond – $45 (refundable upon leaving the stable clean of all bedding)
Tack Room – $22 per night
Compulsory Tack Room Bond – $45 (Refundable on leaving the tack room clean)
Powered Campsites – $34 per night
