Presented by 2340 Big Band
In 2024, the 2340 Big Band explored the swinging jazz tunes made famous by the screen, both big and small. In 2025, they return to present Sounds of the Screen, but now with a focus on the rock songs made famous by films and TV shows of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.
What could you expect? Think Bond, James Bond, and the powerful ballads that are iconic to each 007 movie. You might also hear some instantly recognisable TV show themes, along with some well-known songs that you mightn’t have realised came from a film or TV show.

Be entertained by 2340 Big Band resident vocalists Kate Armstrong and Brad Gill, along with Rock the Classics regulars Rae Moody and Sally-Anne Whitten and some other talented local singers. The 18-piece Big Band will give this music the power and rhythmic drive that it needs.
