This long weekend we invite you to visit Barraba’s friendly monthly market, held in the grounds of the Barraba Museum situated in the main street.
Our markets offer a wonderful array of locally produced goods, from yummy cakes and biscuits, to pottery, plants, herbs, flowers, garden ornaments, wonderfully warm 100% alpaca and lambswool pet beds, farm fresh honey, candles, crystals, handmade stock whips, hooting owls, macrame, beautiful handmade dolls and toys, designer glass and timber items, unique handmade gift cards, homemade jams, pickles and more.
Also for sale at this market are Isa Brown, Black Australorp, and White heritage pullets, guinea fowl and Rose Comb Bantams, plus free-range eggs.
Enjoy a refreshing tea or coffee in our garden cafe, whilst listening to our local musicians “The Edward Street Trio”. Our ever popular all morning BBQ will be cooking up locally made tasty sausages with onions and coleslaw.
The Museum is open all morning and will be featuring an interesting slide show of Barraba’s past.
The Nandewar Historical Society stall has a large range of secondhand books and beautiful sewing items for sale, plus our locally produced history books. All monies raised are being used to expand our museum displays.
New members are welcome, and we are always looking for more historical photos to add to our displays.
Don’t forget to visit our amazing silo art to the south of Barraba and our beautiful wall murals and bird art.
