This session focuses on the health and wellbeing of those involved in caring for a person living with dementia, whether they live with you or elsewhere. Carers may include partners, family members and friends.
You will learn about the impact of dementia on carer wellbeing, the importance of self-care, managing stress, strategies for looking after yourself, and services and support. This is a group session where you will meet and talk to other carers, with an optional follow up call from the facilitators.
Suitable for: Partners, family carers, family members and friends of people living with dementia. This session is not suitable for professionals employed in the health or aged care sectors.

Yes, there will be. Morning tea and lunch. If you have any dietary requirements, please alert the organiser.

It is ideal if you can bring your ticket. However, if you have completed your registration, we will have your details and forgetting your ticket won’t be a problem.
