Cultural Family Fun Day

Tamworth Aboriginal Medical Service (TAMS) invites the community to join them for a vibrant and inclusive Cultural Family Fun Day at Viaduct Park on Wednesday 17 July. This free event during the school holidays, running from 10 am to 2 pm, promises a day filled with enriching activities that celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. The festivities will kick off with a traditional Smoking Ceremony, offering a ceremonial cleansing of the space and a respectful acknowledgment of cultural traditions.

Throughout the day, families can enjoy a variety of engaging activities such as face painting, rides, and cultural performances by Birrelee MACS, showcasing the talents and heritage of local Indigenous performers. Attendees can also participate in hands-on cultural activities, providing an opportunity to learn more about traditional practices, art forms, and storytelling.
