All welcome to join us in celebrating the opening of two wonderful new exhibitions by emerging local talents, Janna Hayes and Phoebe Hillard.
Janna Hayes ‘I Can Be My Own Hero’
This show continues the artists exploration into the landscape in the New England region. Each piece is an emotional reaction to the land but unlike her earlier works that reflected a deeply personal journey, this show contemplates the value the land has in forging collective identify.
Phoebe Hillard ‘Detritus’
The works in this exhibition are created from photographs. Each artwork is soft pastel, a medium the artist loves for its tactile nature. The level of detail in the works is an acknowledgement to the journey of the singular amongst the many in its contribution to the whole. In nature there is an indifference to this journey that invokes in the artist a sense of calm about her place in the world.
