Ethan Calway, situated in the Gippsland region of Victoria, picked up a guitar at the age of six and started writing songs not long after. He began gigging in his later high school years, forming the band Hunter Close with his brothers. After starting a solo career, he produced and recorded his debut EP Long Road Home which was inspired by his time living in the Kimberley. Ethan was a grand finalist in the 2023 Gympie NAB Talent Search, and was a Top 10 Finalist in the 2024 Toyota Star Maker.
