About David Darcy
Darcy lives in Murrurundi and operates the Darcy and Fox Studio.
Darcy has twice been selected as a finalist in the Archibald Prize. First with Charlotte Drake Brockman – a fellow Murrurundi artist. Followed by his portrait of Tjuparntarri. This won the 2019 Archibald Prize People’s Choice.
Both paintings are portraits of strong Australian artists. Their character’s shine, as both portraits radiate honesty, strength and respect. Tamworth Regional Gallery is proud to have the portrait of Charlotte as part of our permanent collection.
If you have any questions about our Mother’s Day event, or any programming please contact the friendly gallery staff.
