Holistic Recovery is honoured to host a NAIDOC Ceremony & Activities from 11am to 2pm, featuring a range of enriching experiences to celebrate NAIDOC Week. The event will commence with a traditional Smoking Ceremony, a powerful and sacred ritual that cleanses the space and brings people together in a spirit of renewal and respect for Indigenous culture.
Following the ceremony, guests are invited to enjoy a free BBQ lunch, offering a delicious spread of local favorites that highlight the importance of community and shared meals. Alongside the lunch, there will be a free clothing drive, providing an opportunity for attendees to support one another by exchanging and receiving needed clothing items, fostering a sense of care and solidarity within the community.
Additionally, the event will feature a free art workshop, where participants can engage in creative expression guided by skilled Indigenous artists. This workshop is an excellent opportunity to learn about traditional and contemporary art techniques, connect with cultural heritage, and create meaningful pieces of art. Holistic Recovery looks forward to welcoming everyone to this inclusive and vibrant celebration of NAIDOC Week.
