Len Waters & the Tamworth Regional Astronomy Club
This brand new Tamworth experience will see you get an up-close view of the action in this regions incredible evening skies.
It’s your opportunity to discover more about this regions aboriginal astronomy including Warrambal, Yarrandoo and Dhinawan as you are transported to the ancient skies by Len Waters, a Kamilaroi man with a passion and wonderful skill for sharing his culture.
Be amazed as you experience the wonder of the stars, stories and music.
Enjoy the music that supports the night sky learnings and grow your understanding of our outer worlds as the Tamworth Regional Astronomy Club members take you on an interactive journey through the Laser Sky Tour and telescope views that feature the historic Hewitt Camera, one of only two in the world.
It all takes place at the Tamworth Regional Astronomy and Science Centre where you will also enjoy interactive displays, the Roll off Roof Observatory and Planetarium Theatre. Situated in the Victoria Park Precinct at the top end of Piper Street in North Tamworth. There is parking on site.
