All that glitters is gold in Nundle throughout the Tamworth Regional Heritage Festival.
Try your hand at panning for gold, or take a tour of the Mt Misery Gold Mine and museum from 8:30am – 3pm Saturday and Sunday, with gold panning from 10am – 12pm.
If a life in the mine isn’t for you, visit Odgers and McClelland Exchange Store at 11:30 am on Saturday 22 April for a discussion and tasting food and kitchenalia inspired by listings in the 1890s stores handwritten invoices.
On Sunday visit the Nundle Court House Museum and view the comprehensive collection of artefacts and documents relating to the history and heritage of Nundle and District, as well as Aboriginal and Chinese memorials located in the Museum grounds.
While you’re there connect with the village’s wool heritage with a guided tour of the award winning Nundle Woollen Mill.
