“Get ready to ROCK… cuz I take no prisoners!” says Suzi
Heading to Tamworth for the very first time in January Suzi will perform her full Theatre show, “Rockin On” where there are no limits as she takes her fans on a Musical Journey through her Life.
Suzi Quatro, born Susan Kay Quatrocchio on June 3, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan, emerged as an influential icon of 70’s glam rock. Known for her tough girl image, Suzi’s music influenced acts like The Runaways and L7. She began her career with the Detroit garage band The Pleasure Seekers before moving to England in the early 70s to work with producer Mickie Most. She achieved significant success in the UK with hits like “Can The Can” and “Devil Gate Drive” but remained less known in the US.
Suzi also had a notable television career, starring as Leather Tuscadero in “Happy Days” and reaching the US Top Five with “Stumblin’ In,” a duet with Chris Norman. With 16 hit singles, over 45 million records sold, and numerous tours since 1964, Suzi has cemented her place in music history. She has appeared in various TV shows and musicals, and continues to write, perform, and host a show on BBC Radio 2. Her upcoming album, “Naked Under Leather,” showcases her enduring talent.
