This event provides a unique opportunity to witness and participate in a traditional land management practice that has been used by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples for thousands of years.
The Cultural Burn will be led by knowledgeable Indigenous fire practitioners who will demonstrate the careful and respectful methods of conducting a controlled burn. Participants will gain insights into the cultural significance of fire in Indigenous traditions and how these practices are being revitalised and integrated into modern land management.
