Join our Library craft circle to meet, talk, and contribute a knitted or crocheted yellow square to a new community engaged artwork, Conversation Piece. Developed by Kate Just – Conversation Piece involves the creation of a giant, communally knitted and crocheted yellow length of fabric. Conversation Piece manifests women’s histories of crafting textiles together around the world. Just builds upon this history by inviting people of all genders to continue to engage in this practice of relating and creating new knowledge, through craft. Conversation Piece forms an ongoing material documentation of this collective practice of making, gathering, talking, and listening.
