This an opportunity for school aged children to learn how to draw portraits from artist Tania Hartigan and make an outstanding entry into the Young Archie competition.
Experience being a portrait artist in the Esther Halliday Studio, as you learn to draw the key elements of a portrait. Learning basic shapes and characteristics, participants will have fun drawing themselves and each other.
Tania will be on hand to guide students with the important elements of proportion and scale, before assisting students to add detail, shade and colour to make their portrait unique.
The portrait should be of a person who is special to you, someone who is known to you and plays a significant role in your life.
It will be helpful to bring a hard copy photo of that special person to the workshop.
